Privacy Policy & POPIA

How RGMZ collects, uses, protects and shares personal information.

Responsible party

Royal Golf Meridian ZA is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. Privacy enquiries and data-subject requests may be sent to info@rgmza.co.za or delivered through the public contact information on this website.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the website, RGMZ may collect your name, email address, telephone number, account details, delivery address, order history, enquiry content, product interests and communication history. Order records may include the chosen payment method, but this website does not collect card numbers, banking passwords, card PINs, private keys or cryptocurrency recovery phrases.

The website also processes technical information such as IP address, approximate city or region derived from the IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, interaction events, timestamps, and whether a visit appears to be from someone who has visited before (recognised by IP address and, where available, a stored browser identifier). It does not claim to collect biometric, health, fitness, salary, investment or precise GPS information.

Why we use personal information

RGMZ uses personal information to create and secure accounts, respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, review and fulfil orders, arrange payment and delivery, provide after-sales support, prevent fraud, keep required business records, comply with law and understand how the website performs. Processing is based on consent where required, performance of an agreement, legal obligations and legitimate interests appropriate to operating and securing the business.

Cookies and local storage

The website uses essential browser storage for functions such as the shopping cart, theme preference and sign-in state. Analytics and operational event data may be used to understand website performance and customer journeys. Browser settings can restrict storage, but doing so may prevent some features from working.

Service providers and sharing

RGMZ shares personal information only where reasonably necessary with service providers that support hosting, authentication, email, communications, analytics, payment arrangements and delivery, or where disclosure is required by law. Website activity notifications may be sent to a private RGMZ team channel so enquiries and operational issues can be handled. RGMZ does not sell personal information.

International processing

Some technology or delivery providers may process information outside South Africa. RGMZ takes reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards appropriate to the information and the service involved. International deliveries require information to be shared with relevant logistics and customs participants.

Security

RGMZ uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No internet service can promise absolute security. If RGMZ becomes aware of an unauthorised access incident that requires notification, affected parties and the Information Regulator will be notified as required by law.

Children

The website is intended for people who can lawfully enter into a purchase. A child must use the service through, or with the authorisation of, a parent or guardian. Personal information collected without appropriate authorisation will be addressed in accordance with applicable law.

Retention

Personal information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to resolve disputes, maintain security and meet legal, accounting or tax obligations. Different records may therefore have different retention periods.

Your rights

Subject to POPIA, you may ask whether RGMZ holds personal information about you, request access or correction, object to certain processing, or request deletion where retention is no longer lawful or necessary. Send the request to info@rgmza.co.za. RGMZ may need to verify your identity before acting on it.

Complaints

You may raise a privacy complaint with RGMZ using the contact details above. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa through the current contact channels published by the Regulator.
